Here's some things I've eaten lately:

Janty made some brussels sprouts slaw recently and I've been eating it with a bunch of different stuff. On this day: a boiled egg.

Ice Cream Cake

From JBGB. Inspired by their baked Alaska, but reworked to be easier to eat. That's what the guy said. Delicious! That's what I said. The bottom layer was like...smoresy? I don't really remember and I don't feel like looking it up. But JBGB Remington if you want to look it up. They're on Insta.

A Latte

Just a regular one. Used my moka pot. Oh recently I have been making mazagrans and that's been fun for me. I don't have any pics, though.

Northern Beans

Slow cooked in a southern blend of herbs & spices and smoked turkey, served with rice.

From Creole Soul at R. House. Got these when it snowed last week, real sleety slushy stuff, on the way walking to the Book Thing. Perfect for that weather. Felt like something my mom would've made on a cold German winter. Oof I just looked at their website bc I wanted to double check the name and it made me reallyyy want mac n cheese. Maybe tomorrow or something.

Hobo Hash

From Blue Moon. Eggs, hashbrowns, ham, peppers, onions...idk what else. Delish and huge. Fed me for 3 meals.

Beyond Sausage and Broccolini

I don't know what flavor the sausage was, but it was something peppery spiced. I liked it. Cooked it in a pan with nothing in it, then added the broccolini. Didn't add any oil or spices to anything, just let the broccolini cook in the fake sausage juice. It tasted really buttery! Ate it one night with the brussels slaw, then again tonight with pierogis.

Here with slaw

Here with pierogis. I always feel like I can't get the middle cooked when I do it on the pan so this time I boiled, then finished on the stove with the heating-up leftovers. Pretty good.

Milanos

I had to go to the office today because there was a power outage at home and I parked right by Streets so I stopped there for milk. Was very tempted by a million things but I didn't have a bag so I was limited to what would fit in my already-full backpack and my hands. Got these milanos. Hit the spot.

Also lately I have been on a real carrots/celery with ranch kick. I have been pretty stressed at work so haven't always had an appetite for breakfast/lunch but I don't like to totally skip so that's a good compromise and doesn't make me nauseous. Now I want hmm....nothing I guess...
