I like it the most when a post is just one day because to me it's more fun to look back on that way. So here's yesterday (Saturday).
Breakfast: Lil Smokeys, Tostones, Egg

Someone came to our house and left lil smokeys in the fridge. I vaguely remember seeing someone walk in carrying a package of lil smokeys but I don't remember who it was and the only person I kind of vaguely might remember seeing with them is vegan, so maybe that's why they left it here? Either way, doesn't really seem like anyone's missing them, so I decided to cook the lil smokeys up for breakfast. I also cooked up these frozen tostones we bought a long time ago, and since that used lots of oil, I did a crispy fried egg with cholula. The egg was perfect. The tostones were ok. The smokeys a delight but did taste a little bit chemical-y. Mom used to make lil smokeys all the time when we were little but I don't think she called them that, and hers tasted better than this...I wonder if it's a different thing or if she just cooked it nice or if I just didn't notice the chemical taste before. Either way, I'm happy to have them in the fridge but probably won't buy them soon. I ate this and went back to bed.
Lunch: Ultimate Nachos with Chilli

We went to go take my car to the vehicle emissions kiosk for its inspection but it started raining soooo hard on the way there. Windy kind of rain. So I figured not ideal conditions to be standing around with my car door open running a test. We went to buffalo wild wings to wait it out. I got ultimate nachos and added chilli. I did not like these very much. I don't like when nachos are with cheese sauce instead of regular cheese, and this didn't even have a lot of cheese sauce it was mostly sour cream, a topping that I do not like and should have asked to not have but I wasn't paying close attention. I did like that they used a flat tray so it was easy to eat, and I thought the chili was pretty good. This was a good reminder to me that I always think I want restaurant nachos but I don't really like them most of the time.
Dinner: Ramen

Instant miso ramen. Used some leftover chicken stock as the base. Added an egg, tsukemono. It looks ugly because no green but we only had pre-mixed arugula and spinach and I didn't want arugula in the ramen, and I realized after cooking that we have no green onion these days because our plant started smelling bad. But the ugly ramen tasted great.
Dessert: Cocoa Puffs

I finally got cocoa puffs after I saw them on Living Single a month ago and have been hankering ever since. I love them.
Other stuff I ate was some pre-sliced watermelon we got at Giant that was cut so tiny, and a string cheese. The package of string cheese looked sooooo good. I think there's a lot of cheeses in there or something, it looked very full and irresistible.

This whole post I was like ooooh I’m gonna get that and then you were like this wasn’t good 😒 But I still would like to make pigs in a blanket this weekend and I agree on real cheese nachos. James prefers a cheese sauce
