I went to the office today, which to me always feels like I am in a special episode of a TV show where they follow a side character for the day to switch things up. The night before I had a lot of time while brownies were in the oven so I packed my lunch ahead of time. When I work from home, I don't really usually eat a lot of snacks between meal times but for some reason when I go to the office I feel like I need to be prepared for anything. So here is what I packed vs what I ended up eating.
Breakfast: Spam and Egg and Spinach Arugula

If I have time I eat a huge breakfast before I go to the office because I probably won't have time to run out to get food if I get hungry for lunch. On a normal day at home, a banana with peanut butter keeps me full until my lunch break but I do not trust it on office days. Also I have to eat earlier than normal to catch the bus so it's more time until lunch. Today I finished the last of my spam. This whole time I've just been working on one can of it. This was about what in normal thickness would have been two slices of spam, but I had a hard time cutting it so it's 4 very thin guys. Lately I feel like I need something green if I'm having so salty so I threw in a tiny handful of spinach and arugula. Very orange egg.
What I Packed:

The plan was: veggies and hummus for if I was snacky in the morning but probably more for the afternoon, salad for lunch, cherries for lunch dessert, yakult for 3:00 snack. Salad was spinach and arugula, tuna, olives, sundried tomatoes. I felt well-prepared to take on the day.
What I Ate:

The Real MVP from Fishnet. Fish sandwich pretty much. With cheese and sauce. My supervisor came to the office because it is my coworker's last day and she invited us all to lunch so we went to Mt. Vernon Marketplace. Even though I had my lunch I came because I didn't want to miss out on socializing. This was good but after I ordered I realized I wasn't really in the mood. I ate the fish but left the bread even though the bread was so good. Hard to keep together. I also got fries and shared with the table but regretted getting them because I still had a bunch left over and ended up throwing them away.
During work I had that sandwich and a Reese's peanut butter cup from the candy jar.
I ate my cherries when I got home before a 5:00 meeting and had the salad for dinner. I did drink the yakult during my 3:00 meeting like I thought I would. For dessert I had these brownies that I made a big mess of when I cut because I did not use a plastic knife. I don't know the science behind that but I believe it's true because my mom told me so and it is also on the brownie mix box.
