I had a banana w peanut butter for breakfast and chili for lunch, but this isn't about that.
This is about my Okinawa soba.

For pork: pan fried pork belly, then combined shoyu, sugar, mirin, vodka (supposed to be sake but I didn't have), poured it over, brought to a boil, let it cook in that until the noodle water was boiling. Noodles and broth from a packet. 7-minute egg, kamaboko (they didn't have the pink kind so just white), tsukemono, bok choy that I just put in the meat pan at the very end to get it soft. For the broth, I poured 3 cups of boiling water in a glass measuring cup and put the packets in there. That way it was easy to pour over the soup and I could still do the noodles separate how I like. I learned that trick from Grandma Chiyo. I used my notes from this summer's cooking lessons to do this.
Dessert: Strawberries and Cool Whip

Janty bought a bunch of strawberries recently but I'm worried we won't eat them before they go rotten so I cut them up. Been eating them with cool whip that we've had in the fridge for a long time from when Janty was gonna make pretzel salad but he hasn't. Janty did a mean thing and said he would make pound cake for us to eat the strawbs and cool whip with and then changed his mind because we have too much food. We don't even have that much food, though!! And he has not been helping to eat the strawberries!!! Even though he bought them!!!! Oh well, I am still having nice treats and that is what matters.
Drink: Calpico White Peach

Got this at Hmart yesterday. I finished it while I was cooking dinner, but I bet it would've been really good with the soba. Oh well. I love white peach.

Does anyone read this blog for my commentary? Does anyone else know you can do comments???
