I finally went to the store! Woke up this morning and went right away before it got crowded. That is really the way to go, because I like to really take my time wandering around the store not being efficient and it is much easier to do that when there's not people all over the place. Anyway, I had a really long eating day and here it is:
For breakfast (like around 8 when I got back from the store) I had a piece of toast w halloumi and tomatoes left over from the other day.
Second breakfast: Apple Cream Cheese Hand Pie

Sooo good. Claire brought me it from John Brown Coffee. I have another one for tomorrow :)
Lunch: Pigs in a Blanket

I went to Paper Moon Diner with Emma and Justin for lunch and I got pigs in a blanket, one of my top favorite things to get at a diner. I always feel torn between wanting pancakes but also wanting something protein and I love breakfast sausage so lalala a perfect meal. Also I rarely feel stuffed past the brim after eating pigs in a blanket. Stuffed to the brim maybe but not like I will burst.
Snack: Papaya Salad

Left over from my delivery order yesterday. I ate this around 5 because I was still pretty full from lunch but was feeling munchy.
Dinner: Mulligatawny

At the store this morning I saw some beautiful rainbow chard just calling my name so of course I got it and made this recipe from my Clean Soups cookbook. It's got chard, celery, onion, chickpeas, tumeric, cumin, curry powder, black pepper, coconut milk, veggie broth, crushed tomatoes. Actually I got the wrong kind of tomato on accident- it's supposed to be diced but I got diced and crushed. Not that big a deal but they really were crushed. Last time I made this I used diced and I think I liked that better. Also I think I chopped the chard bigger last time and I think I liked that better, too. This still tasted good, but those are just some things I would change. I had a little bowl of this for dinner around 7:30 with some toast. I didn't have very much because I was full from eating cookies. Oh well what can you do



Wow we have the same cookbook and we haven’t used it nearly enough!! maybe we will soon. Actually truly we just need to do more cooking in this house. Good thing I’m back looking at this blog
