I took off work early today because I had an eye exam scheduled, but I also started work early so I still did my full 7 hours and then I ended up cancelling my eye exam because I had forgotten to check about insurance. So I had a nice, sunny relaxing afternoon instead. Overall, a pretty good day.
Breakfast: Apple Hand Pie

From Mah-Ze-Dahr, near Arlington Immigration Court. Stayed there to do a little work while I was waiting for my appointment. The woman working was really pushing these hand pies. She was right to, though, it was delicious. Warmed for 1 min 30 seconds. I heard her say that to a bunch of people that's how I know how long she warmed it for. Had that and a cold brew. Maybe I'll get another one tomorrow! Probably not, though. I think I am not going to get there so early tomorrow.
Lunch: Sandwich

Not really a grilled cheese because I was in a rush and didn't give the cheese time to completely melt, just to get a little melty and the bread warm. Pepperjack cheese, deli chicken. Did I already talk on here about deli chicken? I never knew such a thing existed, but I like it. This particular deli chicken tastes like celery, I guess because of whatever they roasted it in.

Lunch dessert was a honeycrisp apple with honey and cinnamon. It's been a little while since I've done my apple up like this. I love it.
Dinner: Chicken, Rice, Salad

Janty is working late so I am having a fun little alone night. After work, I walked to the liquor store and got some wine. Then, I made cookies and listened to the Supremes with the windows open for fresh air. Our kitchen sink faces out to the street and the younger crowd of the neighborhood kids were out playing by the skate ramp, doing monkey in the middle and what looked like a dance class led by the older sister of the group. I kept feeling like I was their mom checking up on them when I would go to clean or rinse something. Anyway, dinner was rice, some pulled chicken we had leftover from when Janty made chicken noodle soup that will probably be bad any day now, and salad. Salad was arugula spinach mix, some cucumber, mozzarella balls, baby tomatoes. Pictured is my new carafe, the Moscato I bought, and Love is Blind: Japan.

Here's the cookies. I made one sheet's worth and froze the rest of the dough in our dough mold. I never used it before! You just lay out all the dough in the bottom portion and then when you put the top portion on, it slices it into even balls. So you don't even have to shape a million cookie dough balls, which I always get bored of halfway through! Can't wait to unfreeze some over the next couple of days and just have a cookie or 3 at a time.
Used this recipe: https://joyfoodsunshine.com/the-most-amazing-chocolate-chip-cookies/. I have no allegiance to a particular choco chip recipe. I think I usually use the one on the back of the Nestle choco chip bag.
