December 31, 2021 - New Years Eve Feast

Brunch: Breakfast Taco

Janty ordered calzones and tater tots the night before so I used up the leftover tots. Scrambled eggs with a tiny bit of havarti, tots, hot sauce, tortilla. Pretty good. Made me excited for my Texas trip. It's not til April but it's good to have something to look forward to.

Drinks: Build-Your-Own

My 3 are on the left: mango passionfruit shandy, strawberry & vanilla sour ale, bubbly rose radler. I had the disco queen while I made pie and the shandy with dinner. Didn't end up finishing the shandy though because I got too full. Still haven't had the sour ale. I liked the shandy. Very fruity. Disco queen was alright but I kind of wish I had gotten the regular radler instead

Dinner: Steak & Salad

Janty did the steak, I did the salad. He did it in a cast iron skillet to start with butter, salt, and pepper, did the thing where you spoon the butter over the steak, then finished it in the oven. The salad was butter lettuce, cucumbers, radish, tomatoes, salt and pepper. Plus this sauce we have a ton of. Good with the steak.

After-dinner treats: Dips

Guac. Janty made it.

Queso. Used velveeta queso blanco, rotel hot tomatoes, put some fresh jalapenos, ground beef. Delish. Ate with the veggies pictured + hint of lime chips.

Dessert: Oreo Pumpkin Pie

Been wanting to make this pie for a long time. It's @ notfolu's recipe. Super easy and delish. I made it a mess when I went to serve but it's the kind of pie that that's fine to do. https://www.instagram.com/p/CWow1jVMrsb/
