Catch-Up Post: Things I've Eaten Around April 6

I was really busy at work the last 3 weeks so I mostly ate takeout and baby carrots and cheese roll-ups. But now I'm back, baby, and hardly doing any work at all. Here's what I'm eating.


Scrambled eggs and croissant

Scrambled eggs with little bits of deli turkey, frozen croissant with strawberry jelly

Sesame chicken and lo mein

Got this last Friday. Janty always gets lo mein as his side instead of rice. Pretty smart, huh? I did that too on this day.

Donuts

Got this with the sesame chicken. So good. Little sugar pillows.

Some stuff from JBGB

Crispy cauliflower. I wanna learn how to make this. Idk what they put in it, I think like chili oil...and other stuff...anyway I'll figure it out

Top is mushroom pizza, bottom is bacon, egg and cheese. Both delish. I love their pizza.

Meyer lemon cheesecake. Not too dense, just lemony perfect.

Taharka bros: keep ya head up

Blackberry crumble in vanilla ice cream. Maybe my favorite flavor from them yet. I'm gonna get some more and bring some to Claire. I also got matcha mochi and key lime pie flavor. I ate all the matcha mochi already. Key lime pie is not my favorite, so luckily Janty has something to eat. It's still good, I just like the other flavors better.

Fish, asparagus, tomatoes

I think I've posted about these fishes Janty has been buying. They are so ugly but are quick and easy and taste pretty good. These ones were lemon garlic flavor I think. Asparagus was roasted with olive oil, salt, pepper, parmesan. Sooo good. Tomatoes were chopped up with olive oil, balsamic, basil. We need to use them up. A solid meal.

A work lunch

Worked from the office on Tuesday, so I went to Streets for lunch. Got pasta salad and choco pretzels. Streets has really good-smelling hot bar so maybe I'll get that next time.


Brussels and beyond sausage

This pic is of my lunch today, which was leftovers from yesterday. Roasted brussels sprouts, nothing fancy, beyond sausage cooked in the pan. I think spicy Italian flavor. Yellow mustard on top.

Turkey buffet

This was dinner tonight. White rice with furikake, radish kimchi. Turkey with garlic, some baby carrots I figured we wouldn't eat, ginger paste, teriyaki sauce. The bok choy I pulled a mom, meaning I decided to put some random ingredient in there on a whim and I didn't like it but the person I served it to (in this case Janty) thought it was good and smart. The ingredient was coconut rum. I didn't think it would come out as coconutty as it did and I think I needed to balance it with some other flavor but oh well now I know for next time.

Gonna go wash dishes now. I want chocolate chip cookies.
