August 30 - Summer Salad

I had a peanut butter banana for breakfast and had lunch at R House with Kiria. I got one shrimp, one rajas taco from Amano.


Dinner: Summer Salad

In order of what I put: kale, sea salt, tomato with Italian seasoning, radishes I pickled before vacation chopped thin, the juice from the radishes (pretty much just vinegar), mozzarella, pepper, sprinkle of sugar, olive oil. Great salad! And a cut-up nectarine on the side.

Snack: Almond Poppyseed Cake

Ok I actually ate this between lunch and dinner but I wanted the thumbnail to be salad. So sue me!! On my way home from lunch I stopped at Walgreens to get milk and ran into Janty on my way back, who had just gotten home from work and was on his way to get milk himself. What a coincidence! When we got home he served me tea with the milk I'd just bought and a piece of cake. He baked this cake this weekend from Claire Saffitz's recipe and it is sooo good. Also, the mold was shaped like trees/a castle? Very Fancy. And kind of crunchy edges mmm. There's an orange juice sugar glaze, too.

After-Dinner: Cheese and Crackers

We ate dinner super early so I was hungry again. Cheddar and Muenster on Pepperidge Farm trio cracker pack. It's only 6:45pm as I write this so maybe I'll get hungry again idk but probably won't have a super exciting dessert anyway. If I do I'll tweet about it.

I think this is one of my favorite posts, except of course I have to sue you for deceiving us all with a summer salad thumbnail. Everything on here looks like all I ever want to eat and I’m double annoyed you guys didn’t stay in hawaii for the weekend if Janty was going to make a CAKE!
