Boat 1

Dad rented a boat for us and we went out with Uncle Mackey and Auntie Annie. Here's what we ate on that one:

This was on the way back from the sandbar so we were nice and salty and everything tasted extra good. While we were at the sandbar I ate a spam musubi that Aunty Annie packed. Floating around eating a spam musubi? A dream, I tell you!

This is a chicken wrap Mom made. Chicken, avocado, leftover kale salad in a tomato wrap. Yum yum. Very huge so I shared with Mom but now I might eat a leftover one for breakfast.

After Boat 1: Chili Dinner

I accidentally forgot to take a picture of the actual chili but it really hit the spot. With rice. I forgot all about how much I like meat and bean chili with a little bit of rice and cheese all mixed up. And it rained on our way back to the marina so we were all wet and cold when we got home and it was perfect. Here are pictures of the sides, though.

Aunty Annie made this salad with greens, carrot, celery, avocado, artichoke, mozzarella balls, with chopped olives on top. The chopped olives was because Uncle accidentally bought those instead of sliced and Aunty was like, that dang Mackey, but idk I thought these were good.

Grandma made kabocha - cooked in pan with tsuyu and little bit shoyu I think. She said this was pre-chopped frozen one from Emma and James, but fresh is better. When she does fresh, she microwaves the kabocha a little bit before chopping so it's easier.

Then I slept over at Emma's house and we had all these snacks while we watched Love Island. I liked the chocolate plaintain chips but I want to try to make them myself and see if I can make them crispier and a little bit saltier. Or maybe they would just be better if kept in a cool place so the chocolate doesn't melt I will do experiments when I get home.

Boat Day 2: Sugarfest

For breakfast Emma and I went to Tantalus and had ume onigiris that Aunty Annie made for the day before.

Tasting Box from Holey Grail. Clockwise from top left: Saffron Snickerdoodle (Kashmiri saffron, cinnamon vanilla sugar, rolled); Chocolate Crunch (Hawaii single-origin chocolate, cacao nibs, sea salt); Lilikoi (wild Jamaican and yellow passion fruit); Acai Bowl (Tambor acai, peanut butter, chia, shredded coconut). They are taro donuts and so nice and crunchy! The descriptions of everything at Holey Grail really make you want to buy it. Hats off to them.

On the boat we drank mai tai's. I don't have a pic.

After the boat I think we must've done something but I don't remember. Then we got boba from the Alley. Mine is ube creme brule deerioca. I liked it better before I stirred it up because the flavor was stronger but even stirred up it was very delish. I never would have thought to put creme brule in my boba but wow pretty smart of them.

For dinner, Mom made cold soba. I was all worn out and thirsty after the boat so this was a perfect dinner! The noodles came with a flavor pack so it's saucy on the bottom and there's a little dollop of mustard on the side that I mixed in. And cucumber, kamaboko, tamagoyaki, spinach, green onion.

We didn’t do anything but boba after the boat, don’t worry.
